Biblical Worldview
All education is inescapably Christian in that all truth is God’s truth. The Bible, as the infallible, inerrant, and inspired Word of God is the foundation and guide for all knowledge, and is basic to all elements of education. Because God, in His sovereignty, created, sustains, and will consummate all things through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the universe and all life are dynamically related to Him and have the purpose of glorifying Him. This purpose is fundamental to Christian education and permeates every aspect of our goals and objectives, our teaching methods, and our curriculum. All representatives of the school will strive to glorify God and follow Biblical integrity.
Transformation
Students will be transformed in their spiritual lives.
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
Humility
Humility is the cornerstone of teachability. Humility enables a person to seek wise counsel.
“You lead humble people to do what is right and to stay on your path.”
Psalm 25:9
Respect
Each person is created in God’s image and therefore is treated with respect. Respect is the foundation of all we do – respect for one another and respect for one another’s ideas.
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have, but do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.”
1 Peter 3:15-16
Perseverance
“Add to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness.”
2 Peter 1:6
“And endurance develops maturity of character. And character produces joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.”
Romans 5:4
Excellence
Continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence underlies all that we do. Academically, creatively, spiritually, and physically, it is our goal to help each student, faculty, and staff achieve his/her best.
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence, and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
Philippians 4:8
Honesty and Integrity
Our relationships and academic performance are based on honesty and fairness. KLA instills trust in all relationships.
“Just say ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ When you manipulate words to get your own way, you go wrong.”
Matthew 5:37
Unity
“The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind, just as You, Father, are in me and I in you, so they might be one heart and mind with us.”
John 17:21
Hope
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future.'”
Jeremiah 29:11
